Pets in Omaha is proud to help promote a new documentary film at the request of Best Friends Animal Society- The Champions is scheduled to show at Marcus Midtown Cinema (32nd and Farnam) and the public is encouraged to visit this website to learn more and purchase tickets. In order for the film to come to town, 62 tickets must be purchased, so please spread the word about this great opportunity for the animal community and Omahas! The showing is scheduled for March 2, but enough tickets need to be purchased a week before or else the event doesn’t happen.
From the event page about The Champions:
The Champions is an inspirational story about the pit bulls rescued from the brutal fighting ring of former Atlanta Falcons’ star quarterback Michael Vick, and the organizations who risked everything to save them, despite pressure from PETA and The Humane Society to euthanize the dogs. It is a story of second-chances, redemption and hope. This uplifting documentary takes us on a journey about much more than just dogs—about prejudice, being misunderstood, the power of resilience, and the significance of the relationship we as humans have with animals. The film features the lifesaving work of Best Friends Animal Society.
