Introducing Omaha’s Dewey Dog Park

If you’re an Omaha-area dog lover and love spending time with your pup outdoors, you’ll want to check out the City of Omaha’s plans for the new dog park at Midtown Crossing happening this week!
On June 6, 2018, the city will announce plans for the new park at 550 Turner Boulevard. Plans, details, a timeline, and specifics about the park will be made available to the public at 4:30 p.m.
“The announcement will serve as a way to present to the public the City’s project for the new dog park at Dewey Park,” says Marquette Ryan, Special Projects Coordinator of the City’s Parks and Recreation Department. “In an essence, it is like a live press release,” Ryan says. The city plans on having several speakers, including Mayor Jean Stothert, and renderings of what the project will look like.
Stop down to Turner Park on June 6 to get a sneak peek and stay tuned to Pets in Omaha for updates.
